Barney Oldman, Travolta and Carrey - were in close contention for awards.

Awards which are attracting larger numbers of nominations every year.

Ever since the first winner - and finest overactor of them all...


KING KONG




Randall Nicholas Cage should get some kind of overacting award, for his suddenly shouting with googly eyes thing.

On the other hand, Leaving Las Vegas and Raising Arizona were very enjoyable. More recently, I thought The Weatherman was a good performance and something a little bit different from a Hollywood film.
