You maybe right - that the laws will initially be used to further alienate the Muslim community - but once they have these powers they will find ways to use them on everyone !
After the Muslims, then the blacks? (remember the "suss" laws?).
Never trust the people who caused the problem to find a solution to the problem (especially when it involves giving them extra powers and depriving us further of our rights)! |

Police to be able to stop and search anyone - anywhere?
Anyone can be detained indefinately under Mental Health laws?
Robert Mugabe (and Saddam) will / would be impressed !
