The first twenty minutes of Little Women are not good but then it picks up and by the end I thought it superb. Not enough made of the book burning for me but otherwise excellent. |

Men do some things better than women and women do some better than men. Best cooks, oddly enough, tend to be men. I thought the woman who directed Capernaum a couple of years ago deserved to be nominated and to win not because she was female but I thought it was the Best Film. This year I thought the Little Women woman deserved nominating as Director but she wasn't simply because there were several others considered better - all men, as it happened.
I think chefs have been mostly men in the past because the job is incompatible with raising a family, which until recently has mostly been women's responsibility.
Is Little Women worth seeing then? For someone who adores the books? I practically had PTSD after seeing that horror with Winona Ryder in. |

I want a march by men complaining they are not allowed to get pregnant and give birth.
