Thanks JK I have already checked my libraries and I can borrow the two earlier books as an ebook.

Oh yes WJ thoroughly recommend. Wonderful qriting and great stories of intrigue, power play, lust, betrayal!

Oh yes - you will thank us! I read Wolf Hall; adored it; put £100 on it to win the Booker and won £700. Then did the same on Bodies - only won £300 that time. Will do the same for Mirror. Bumped into HM at the Royal Shakespeare stage version (not very good) and we chatted for 30 minutes (stuck outside the theatre; bomb scare). Begged her to get a move on. Rylance was brilliant as Cromwell on TV. I'll be buying it the day it comes out (I prefer to patronise smaller or indie bookshops) but will save it for my summer holidays.

So wyot and JK you would recommend the Trilogy of Thomas Cromwell by Hilary Mantel.
I confess to not following the Booker Prize (Hopefully that will not exclude me from this blog site!!!!)
So I had not heard of the author. Nor do I read much historical fiction. My thanks nonetheless and I will consider seriously reading.

Think I will compromise and just re read "bodies" so I am nicely in the groove for the final part.
I have not been so excited about a book release for some time!
