Barney Two other living ex-Prime Ministers - I am reminded - are Cameron and May.

As yet, neither have been elevated to this most prestigious Order - of chivalry.

But, numbers are strictly limited - and vacancies only arise on the demise of a member.

Selection is at the discretion of the monarch.


Barney Only two recent Prime Ministers (as far as I know) haven't been made members of this prestigious club. Brown and Blair.

Most immediate members of the royal family are almost automatically given the KG. Andrew, Charles, Anne etc.

It's highly unlikely though that Harry (of whatever current title) will ever be at the club's annual bash.

In St George's Chapel - where the entire world saw him married to a pleasant American TV actress.

Just one of the many imponderable factors that a commercial existence on Vancouver Island life will bring...
