Mr King, You, and I, would not dream of inflicting our illnesses on anybody else, but most just don't care any more.
These people (they usually eat food from the floor too) say things like "you need to be exposed to viruses to build up your immune system". And "a peck of dirt never hurt anyone"
I notice that people have shut up about their bloody immune systems now! |

I'm pretty certain it was given to me by Uber - I booked a car to take me for a breakfast meeting a couple of weeks ago; it was freezing cold; I went out to meet the car when told it had arrived but no car - for 20 mins it told me it was one minute away; then cancelled so I took the Tube instead. Every second I thought "I'm going to catch a cold". I did. First (as usual for me) a sore throat. Then I tend to lose my voice but I've learned to stop speaking totally; so passed that. Then it goes to runny nose, sneezing, loads of snot (attractive). I stay inside - the keys to my recovery are 1) do not change outside temperature. 2) drink lots of water. 3) take loads of paracetamol (I like Doliprane 1000 - bought abroad; double doses).
My feeling is - I always do this. Whether slight or bad cold or 'flu. I cannot understand how CoronaVirus is any different. I would never infect anyone with cold or 'flu. I stay in - for myself and for others. Why is CoronaVirus so different? Equally lethal to elderly, weak, vulnerable.
Be responsible. But it strikes me that reaction to it - all media inflated - is a dangerous and unnecessary over reaction. This panic will kill far more than the virus. |
