Chris Has it worked in years?
Like a lot of things in media, it has run its course. Once Hislop & others failed to properly tackle the absurdities of Yewtree (and in his case the point that the publication he edits took everyone to task in the world except a yodelling TV presenter) it was heading into a cul-de-sac.
Add into the mix the need to appease the Offended Generation (the death knell of mainstream satire) and all that is left is that which all the other 'satirical' panels shows have - right-on luvvies patting themselves on the back.
It's the 30th Anniversary of the show this year - it had a good 20 years being enetertaining, now is the time to put it out of it's misery
robbiex The show only contains 4 contestants and one quizmaster, it could easily have been filmed in the studio, much like the One Show and BBC Breakfast.
JK2006 Oh dear it really didn't work at all, did it?
