Barney Interesting.

Taiwan manufactures 13 million masks, a day!

md Taiwan is also generously donating 10m surgical masks to the EU and UK for medical health workers.

Barney Notwithstanding its proximity to China, Taiwan has has less than 200 deaths - largely because of lessons learned with SARS, in 2003.

Masks are worn everywhere, by everyone - and strict and rapid rules were enforced, with timely auctioning.

All travel from China was immediately banned - as well as cruise ships - and heavy punishment was doled out for lockdown violations.

In contrast, Australia - also an island, with a 25 million population - has had much more infections and fatalities.

Taiwan has shown how to be prepared, and how to act quickly - whilst leaving from the past.

Healthcare of a very high calibre has also helped.
