These are very good.
£60k,Harold Wilson would have earned more than you off that!
Looking forward to tomorrow, maybe the time you stood for Parliament?
Little Sausage
After dinner (my time) I like to relax and watch/listen to another episode of jk
and it’s always a delight and makes me smile.
I’d say you lived during the most marvellous times the 60’s//70’s
and being in the pop business would have been amazing..
one big hit single just in the UK alone could set you up for life..
(let alone what a string of international hits could bring...)
When I was a teenager in the late 70’s it was still a great time but things were changing..
you had disco on one side and punk on the other.. and quite often record buyers bought both styles of music as it wasn’t segmented into demographics like it is today..
I do hope jk you’ll keep your daily blogs going after Corona has run its course...
The other day you alluded to your disappointment when 10cc up and left you after you
named the group and gave them success..(Wall Street Shuffle, Rubber Bullets, Donna...)
and that contributed to you stepping back from the record business for a time..
So jk after the 10cc experience did you find singing on your own records more satisfying and less problematic than dealing with the demands of some of the artists.
You’re very fortunate in that as a producer you can also sing, a lot of producers are hopeless singers..
Listening right now to “Double Barrell” Jenny One Shot
I remember this on the radio ..
