"Plastics" an excellent piece of advice, just look at social media. Both Graduate and Midnight Cowboy are terrific movies.
I have only seen 2 Paul Newman films ( Butch Cassidy and Slap Shot) so I can't critise him but his sauces are wonderful.
Randall
I made it all the way through The Outrage (1964 remake of Kurosawa's Rashomon in a Western setting) without recognising Paul Newman. His name popped up in the credits and I genuinely didn't know he'd been in the film at all. He plays totally against type as a Mexican bandit. Always nice to see movie stars showing some acting chops instead of just playing themselves as usual (Tom Cruise in Collateral is another example that comes to mind).
Dr Strangelove
They also made a great duo in The Sting, scamming along to the sounds of Scott Joplin...
