Barney So described by Washington who continue to recommend the avoidance of large gatherings.

As well as staying 6 feet apart and wearing masks. However, many are still attending large events and refuse to wear masks.

Consequently nearly 5 million have been infected, with c155k fatalities. Over the next 30 days - about 1,000 are expected to die each day.

In the US, the virus is spreading in both rural and urban areas - and many states are reacting differently. Some are delaying easing - some are not.

For some, civil liberties are a more important issue - with guidelines being ignored. And little joined up leadership emanating from DC.

Publicly - government politicians and doctors/scientists frequently disagree on strategy and priorities. And the Federal makeup of the country does little for cohesion.
