But the Gulf Railway projects are absolutely massive - involving over 1,350 miles of track, which will cost €250 billion in total.
Linking the Red Sea to the Gulf - and the holy cities of Medina and Mecca. A Spanish consortium won the £6 billion contract, for the latter.
With the help of Juan Carlos - who seems to have trousered at least £100 million, before he abdicated to allow his son (who knew nothing about anything) to become king.
Then there's the World Cup, in Qatar! Who paid for that, I wonder? Well most believe the Chinese and Russians are to blame for everything.

That might be a sensible place to be Covid-wise. CNN International broadcasts a daily two-hour news programme from there and they had a report last week saying that the UAE has an extensive testing system and they'd done a comparatively good job of keeping the infection under control. |

Latest reports suggest Juan Carlos is in Abu Dhabi.
Makes sense, considering his contacts with Gulf States.
Where - it alleged - he was very helpful to the massive railway projects, in the area.
In rerun for a King's ransome...

Harry and Meghan's security looks cheap at £4 million a year funded by Daddy. As Royals their security cost £20 million a year and came from a special branch of the Metropolitan Police Service. They have gone private; and cheaply.
Diana also did the same and some high profile national security figures opined at her death that the tunnel death would not have happened under her Royal protection standards.
An overhead drone could, I fear, be the least of their problems one day... |

After denouncing Franco, and jumping on the democracy bandwagon after the General's exit - Carlos just added a bit of royalty.
Seemingly he robbed his nation with the assistance of his Swiss mates - and enjoyed life to the full. Even had Harry as a guest, decades ago.
Hopefully, an examination into the finances of our royal family will soon be commenced.
For a start, how many properties/residencies owned by the Crown and/or members of the extended Windsor family - were bought by the taxpayer?
All will be as difficult to unravel - as are the payers of Harry's security and accommodation in LA...
Whoever is paying for Harry's security (I think its Charles? )should get their money back if they cant even intercept drones flying over the property. |
