Well said, hedda. I agree. I also find Laurence Fox an incredibly wooden actor and have never got into "Lewis" because he's just so dull. But I thought his father James (says Wikipedia) was a decent enough actor, e.g. in "The Servant". Edward Fox strikes me as the same in everything he does. |

I think the police are "accidentally" trained to interfere, because they are taught to re-frame what you tell them as a witness so that it fits the standard format, even if it turns it into bullshit.
Are they really Honey? But don't you have to sign a witness statement; so the content control is ultimately with the witness? If a copper tried to re frame my words, they would be spending a long time on re-drafts before they got a signature....
I suppose a lot of people either aren't as picky or don't want to be bother and sign it regardless.
We had a frustrating experience a couple of years ago when the whole street witnessed an "incident" and the young policeman taking the statements told us ALL that we were mistaken about the time by a whole hour, and his reason for being so sure of this was that they had seen it recorded with a time stamp on somebody's CCTV around the time the clocks went back! |

I suspect Laurence Fox’s motives and actions might come from a (possibly unconscious) fear that the group he is widely identified in the media as belonging to, that is, “white privileged male”, could become another hook of society's unwanted, unconscious projections. |
