middlemas So Queen Victoria called Royal bastards when she banned them from court; since then they have remained unacknowledged.

Not so in France, Spain, Belgium, Monaco etc. - where Kings and Princes ultimately had to admit paternity for, often, more than one illegitimate offspring.

Denials were common, but DNA soon alleviates all doubts. Recently, a new member (with staus and titles) was added to the Belgium Royal family.

She is the daughter of a former King and had to face his blanket denials for years. Many suggest 'ghosts' will soon begin to appear here.
