I'm in the process for my liquidating my business. There's no way I can recover from this. I'm just about solvent thanks to my work in NI. I will be selling up my house shortly. 🤬🤬
Hey GM always hard to tell on social media but if you are being serious that is rough. Hope things work out OK, and eventually pick up for you.[/quote]
Thank you Wyot. The cash that was being offered was peanuts and too much mucking around. It was easier to shut up shop. However staff got redundancy pay.
I see in the upcoming weeks and think about my other button in NI. I might have to move to the West Country. |

The Republic has opted for one of most draconian set of measures in Europe.
Without good reason, you can't travel more than a couple of miles from home.
And all hospitality and most shops are closed. Until December 1st.

Republic's draconian lockdown bears comparison with that of its close neighbour, the UK's Northern Ireland.
In NI, people can still go shopping, to the gym/church, travel about etc. But not in the Republic.
Completely different countries with no physical border - so many from the south will just drive a few miles, for shopping etc.
A foretaste of the future when Brexit is concluded and there are two totally different markets, literally within sight of each other.
Smuggling will again become big business - as both jurisdictions will have very different price structures, for goods and services. |
