The beauty is, Honey; government being SOOO stupid; every pub will offer a "substantial" meal for a budget, knockdown price of 1p, served to everyone with a drink (special deal; a penny off), consisting of the cheapest ingredients (grass?), customers advised NOT to eat them; recycled after thorough cleaning to the next (non) customer.
Weatherspoons or McDonalds rings a bell.
The thing is as well JK, not every one fancies an alcoholic drink during the day with a meal. A fizzy drink with a light lunch is more than enough for me these days when I go out for lunch.
I don't think the booze is compulsory. |

The reasoning is curious isn't it? I suppose it must be something to do with alcohol relaxing inhibitions, and people ending up hugging or having carnal relations in the pub car park. Outcomes largely unheard of, I understand, following a coca-cola "session".
Unlike panicdemic; 200 000 deaths projected (UK) and counting.
They could, if it was really needed, just ban pubs serving drunk people... only I am pretty sure that law already exists and is largely ignored?
I have been club, pub owner and manager in the past Wyot.
Most landlords and staff do ban or stop serving drunks if they believe they are too drunk. It's both public safety and the patrons own safety. They don't automatically ban them unless it's repeated times over, there has been times when a security guard or myself has called a taxi, to send a drunk home and out of our own pocket. Most of them are harmless but it's harm they could do is danger.
The biggest debate is what counts as a substantial meal ? When I'm out shopping for long periods of time I can only just stomach a starter and a dessert.
For those of us with bladders of a certain age, it will be a bit of an expensive chore to buy egg and chips every time we need a wee.
You could always squat over a drain or behind a wall/ |
