Honey	You cant compare figures from before the "pandemic" to after, because there are too many behavioural changes that will either cause death, or save lives. (without including the actual virus)

JK2006	It's a NEW virus Fried Brains; of course the effects will be worse until we find and deliver a vaccine. OF COURSE some will die if health systems get it wrong when it starts (Death Five). The fact is - after media hype we all over reacted - understandable; when media tells you it's a plague you rush to hospital with the sniffles.
