Thank you Bobbi... yes, one of the pleasures of the Internet is the ability to look back and see how much history was influenced by bad, inaccurate or malicious reporting.
Or, of course, the standard average, as in this case; assume a position and justify it.
Very few journalists dare have preconceptions changed - after all, there are deadlines to meet.
So we all tend to assume things that are simply not true and these lazy though understandable impressions are compounded by others then continuing along the same lines.
And the Guardian is probably the best written paper.
Frightening, innit? |

..and let's not forget it could happen to anyone of us. I shudder at the thought of someone I knew from 20 years ago suddenly turning up and accusing me of assault. Having said that I'm not a celeb, but I am a pasty faced white UK male, and so inherently evil... |

Old news about the trial, but I never buy newspapers anyway.
Never knew much about the offenses either, but reading the article, and contrary to the tone of the piece, I found myself totally siding with King.
How does the CPS allow 'victims' to gather together under police advertising to press charges for 20 year old crimes? Simple answer...
Where there's loot theres a suite. |
