And I love the recommendation towards the end that a public health campaign telling people symptoms may be in their minds "could help".

This can run alongside the ongoing state terror campaign.

In my experience making people doubt their grip on what is real never fails to reduce anxiety...!

My brother in law is a Cypriot. He's like a freak of nature - over 6ft and built like a brick shit house which is unusual for Cypriots they are normally small. However he has a very strict diet and only drinks from time to time despite being in the hospitality and booze trade.

md The death rates for Greece and Cyprus are also relatively low. Much boils down to diet - for the mind as well as the body.

There has been a lot of social unrest and political instability in Peru in recent years. Repeated stress reactions to news reports of political troubles and of Covid 19 can compromise immune function.

Wyot There are so many differentials it is hard to compare, but no one can now say that lockdowns prevent deaths to any significant degree - without question - and be taken seriously.

Meanwhile there is growing, alarming and irrefutable data for lockdown deaths and misery.

We need to move beyond politics now and turn this train around.
JK2006 Yes a good question Honey. If we can get "new variants" making it worse, why not some making it better? But I suspect this cannot be the answer. It's generally agreed the Wuhan bug came to Italy (unmutated). Surely it spread from Italy around Europe (including the UK). Surely that same original virus infected Asia and Down Under (closer to China). No I think it's the way different countries treated it - faster; better protection for the vulnerable; better health care and treatment. All based on a correct reading of the virus rather than reacting to an inflated media version.
