Wyot Really good analogy Honey, if depressing! JK is spot on as well in his other post this morning - why is Marr and the rest of the MSM giving this dreadful Goverment such an easy time...

Have they really also all fallen for the "this is all happening to us not through us" line as well...?
JK2006 Spot on Honey. It is so easy to forget why something started.
Honey It reminds me of the newspaper in my door.

One of my cats can open every door, cupboard, oven, fridge, parcel- Anything.

I try to keep him away while I am sleeping, and I am hoping to get some sort of super-closing catch that will stop his antics.

Meanwhile, I jam a newspaper in the door, which isn't ideal, but works pretty well.

The thing is, its been there for two years, and I have stopped thinking "I must hurry up and get that catch changed"
But now think " that paper is falling to bits, I will stick a new one in".
I have even deliberately bought a larger sized paper!

Instead of fixing the root of the problem (crap NHS) they are spending the money needed to sort it out on furloughing etc.
They are churning out money and ruining businesses nd lives instead, and have probably forgotten that the NHS was in a mess beforehand. Just like I forget about my door catch.
Wyot So we have it. Even with the "game changing" vaccines we must remain in lockdown indefinitely because the NHS is under "enourmous pressure".

Translation. We have underfunded the NHS for years. As a result we have one of the lowest bed capacities in the developed world. We have no contingency plans or capacity for even a modest uplift in demand.

As a result, all we can think of is that you all remain indoors and we ruin what is left of our economy and mental health until we have enough beds for business as usual.
