Oh for fuck sake - that’s a bit OTT.
Credit where’s it due he raised millions for NHS despite getting billions every year from the government.
The media loved a sweet old army veteran walking in a garden. I’m sure his family pulled the media strings. There was a lad running laps, in his garden to raise money for NHS; but only raised a few hundred pounds maybe due to the very little media coverage. |

but a fine British man, who helped so many?

I suppose he might of been.
Why do you ask; did you know him?
As far as I am concerned he was a charity fundraiser. Almost everyone did their bit during war either by going to war or just making ammunition.
I didn't hear anyone clap or know anyone who did last night.
Even the woman in my street who used guitars, cymbals, a gong maracas, wobble board, and an actual flipping drum kit to clap for the NHS stayed inside last night.
I am sorry that his family were forced to come out to be gawped at. His daughter looked a bit fragile, poor thing.
She needs locking up for public safety. |

Family and friends will know who he was. It disturbs me when people act as if they know and loved him. He was a good story in the media.
The actual him might have been a good egg or a wife beater; who knows or cares.... |
