I'm not sure Covid ever is the cause. It exacerbates conditions and appears, in a tiny number of cases, to over stimulate the immune system causing damage to vital organs. It clearly can't be distinguished on it's own merits as a pathogen. Which is a curious state of affairs for an apparantly lethal virus.

I suggest, when the dust settles, that the sensible thing would be to look at why so many people have these conditions and what can be done about it? Apart from old age; not a lot we can do about that!

The other side of this is that when young apparently healthy people die OF covid (as they occasionally do) the grieving family is hounded and harassed online by trolls yelling about cover-ups and underlying conditions.

Yes very true. This is the trouble with the media and Gov creating such a hyped febrile situation; some people will always gravitate to extremes, including at some stage I predict violence - even murder. Terrified people don't act rationally.

Wyot Peter Hitchen's blog is interesting:

Why do we seem so desperate to see Covid referenced in as many deaths as possible? Why if this is a truly deadly plague do we have to go looking for it so hard...
