Wyot There is a nugget of sanity in the "roadmap" (I have a feeling this word will become very irritating...) Boris is revealing to us later today: infection rates will not form a part of the conditions to open up.

The zero Covid fanatics have been sent packing.

So unless death rates surge (which they won't) or the NHS collapses (which it doesn't, every winter...) we will be back to normal by June/July except for a few jumpy weirdos wearing masks and crossing roads at the sight of a human.

We should be unlocked entirely from this afternoon, of course, because no one is dying, the NHS is fine, people are dying through lockdown collateral damage and our liberty in a recently free country should be upheld at all costs unless we are faced with an imminent and significant threat to life and limb.

But we can't expect too much can we...

The millions on furlough can enjoy Netflix for a few more weeks while they can afford the subscription.

Then we will see the real cost of the panicdemic from this Autumn; but no doubt still being ascribed to a virus rather than the stupidity of mankind.
