JK2006 Brilliant! One of the giants in every way and extremely nice as well.
Mart Lovely quote in the paper today (Guardian) on George arriving onstage on the wrong side and not being able to find his set list.
"Wonderful thing, alzheimers,", he is quoted as saying, "you meet new people every day".
big end saw G.M. and The Feetwarmers in pub when I was a spotty teenage aspiring muso and managed to have a chat after the gig. What an absolute gentleman and a true entertainer. If there is a gig in the afterlife, I'm sure he is on the bill tonight.
Mart A wonderful personality.
He will be missed and remembered with fondness.
JK2006 I remember once being in Rome at Easter with him on the bus from plane to terminal and his raincoat was trapped in the doors (wrong side) and he couldn't get off! Hilarious - very funny and sweet man.
