Indeed. But there have been too many examples of police "getting it wrong". Badly trained, not disciplined, feeling they can get away with murder. Yes - everyone makes mistakes. my first real job at 18 was being put in charge of a fashion shop. My employer was a little old Jewish gent who was a mega millionaire who seemed to take a shine to me and each week called me into his office..past 100 employees typing away to his almost broom cupboard sized office as he sat there, collarless and tie less like those Israeli politicians used to wear.
Over and over he impressed upon me the notion..the rot comes from the top and if I ever perceived that "management" or the top dogs were corrupt or incompetent..head for the hills.
proved right over and over again..it seeps downwards to the lowliest of employees.
Re Lady Green person..if she is out prowling at night I'd voluntarily like to be locked in by 6pm no worries  .

But on a serious note the 6pm curfew for men won't be a problem. We can all just self-identify as female.

Reading further, I think she may have been giving the Met a tounge in cheek taste of their own medicine for saying women shouldn't go out alone. Fair enough.
Haven't heard anyone today suggest maybe Police make the streets safer and actually patrol them - astonishing omission. It's like it has nothing to do with them.

Well, the police cant claim they haven't got the manpower any more, when half of them are patrolling my beach in case somebody has the audacity to walk on it. |
