The gathering was illegal but they went ahead anyway and then moaned when the police tried to break it up. There can't be one law for militant women and one for everyone else.

There have been far more women who have died of Covid in one year than have been snatched from the streets in the past fifty, I would imagine. They could have lit candles on Zoom but no, they had to go out and stand there cheek by jowl during lockdown and think that being women excuses them.

When I pointed this out on Twitter I was accused of being a man.

The family didn’t want a vigil etc.

There’s no such thing as peaceful protest or demo they all end up in chaos.

My granddad was walking home from the pub during The Blitz. I have no idea what he was doing In England especially in London.

Why? Where was he supposed to be?
Not everyone followed the rules in the blitz and not all the rules made sense, like thinking a tiny torch would get you bombed but the massive flashlight the Air raid warden carried was invisible to Germans.

He never said !
Wyot I'm going to stick up for the many decent women and men who spend their working days trying to keep us safe while putting themselves in harms way.

26 Police Officers were assaulted (spat at pushed, punched) by violent women on Clapham Common at the weekend.

"Damned if they do damned if they don't." The chair of the Police Federation asks urgently for help from politicians who have put them in an "impossible" position by having to police Covid regulations:

metfed.org.uk/26-officers-assaulted-metr...ederation-statement/

Will this make a headline? Is it a good enough story? Do we have room enough in our minds anymore for nuance? Or is just "police baddies women who don't want to be raped goodies" level stupidity?

I don't care if people gather or not, but I just KNOW that a lot of that crowd pouring covidy globlets on each other are the same ones who were furiously clapping the NHS and telling us to "stay the F home".
