Green Man The media are scared to offend so they go with labels, they are also scared of cancel culture. So they bow down to the mob and PC brigade.

Funny how they quickly dropped the acronym BAME when minority groups found it offensive.

I miss America and my black conservatives would rant about being called “African Americans” when they just call themselves “Americans.”

JK2006 Acceptable racism. Just like Acceptable censorship (Sex mentions). And Acceptable injustice. Society is riddled with hypocrisy.
JK2006 It implies those of us pale people are colourless. Anyway, these days virtually EVERYONE has different skin shades. Why on earth is it considered worthy of comment? Bonkers.

However, pleased both Nomadland and Minari got awards - both very good (though not great) films.

Nobody seems to have noticed that 14 years ago I made my first film mixing documentary with fiction. And went on to make two more. Wonder why.
