Gael Vella	Four months into his presidency, Biden has yet to announce the anticipated changes in US policy on Israel and the conflict/region. Trump increased US wholehearted support for Israel during his four years in office - whilst Biden has preferred a two state solution. Many hope a more balanced US position will bring about a permanent peace between the Israels and Palestinians - and also for the Middle East.

I was being rueful about the strangeness of a world in which a "peace envoy" also arms one side of a conflict they are supposed to be bringing peace to.
