Green Man I always the thought the QE2 was both tacky and ugly inside and out. Someone recommended to me as "an alternative to flying". The food was bland and very average, the staff were rude and obnoxious pricks. Don't get me started on the entertainment I have heard better karaoke singers in pubs and seen dance routines at Haven holiday parks at least I won a Bradley Bear soft toy.

I couldn't wait to get back to dry land after the third day.

At least with flying you get what you pay for.
Wyot Bloody things used to ruin my view out to sea from my ocean front flat in Southampton I had in my younger days. Good to hear Venice is banning them.
JK2006 Last few times in Venice these enormous liners have blocked the view. Anchored by St Mark's Square and I mean enormous - far bigger than a skyscraper. Many have moved to ban them and I see, from August 1st, they are now banned. But even now, mid July, there is no sign of them. Relief.
