In The Know I have to admit that I don't know anything about this Oswald Brown case, but you have to admit that starving yourself to death, as a protest, is a pretty powerful argument that he is innocent?

Yes ITK I have to tell you I met so many "rapists" inside who were clearly NOT - either victims of false allegations or misunderstandings or mutual drunkeness or drugs or malice or revenge.

Indeed I helped get several acquitted in due course.

It really opened my eyes I can tell you. Before it happened to me I never, ever would have believed it possible.

I reckon over 50% of those in jail for rape should not be.

To be fair JK I reckon over 50% of those in jail FULL STOP should not be. That includes people who have committed no tangible crime against others as well those who didn't pay their licence fee (or the fines associated with.)

In The Know The Belfast Telegraph reports on Oswald Brown who is on hunger strike, and close to death, protesting at his recent conviction for rape.
