md Lord Mann sounds more fanatical than Tom Watson in the child abuse campaign that led to Operation Midland. Defecting to the opposite party was a clever move. He will probably never have to face responsibility for his role in the disaster.

It gives meaning to the saying that ‘you can’t keep a good man down’.

Jo From that Morning Star article:
At Shirley Oaks, 177 staff members were accused of abusing a total of 529 former residents.
Someone from the Shirley Oaks Survivors Association was interviewed in connection with the Lambeth abuse allegations on the BBC recently and the name Shirley Oaks rang a bell. From their "whistleblowers" page:

BILL MALONEY

Bill is one of the UK's most daring child abuse campaigners. He and his siblings were in Shirley Oaks children's home and were physically and sexually abused by its staff. Since leaving the children's home he has been an avid campaigner who has been raising awareness of abuse survivors and corruption. Bill's radical campaigning makes him a thorn in the establishment's side.

From watching his films and interviews a few years ago, I had the impression he had an overactive imagination and was prone to interview people similarly afflicted.

Mind you, his wife says he has "complex PTSD", so who knows.

hedda Revelations of appalling treatment of young people in homes over 3 decades. Of course there may be some exaggerations in there, even lies but we know councils have a history of the bad treatment of under privileged youngsters.

But where is that crusader and "antisemitism tsar" Lord Mann whose entire job seems to be to attack Jeremy Corbyn for there hasn't been a peep out of him for 3/4 years now on anything else.

Mann was a councilor on Lambeth Council when this happened. Perhaps his mind was occupied by future prospects.

## antisemitism vanished overnight from Labour when Starmer was elected leader and they just will not explain how this miracle happened.

John Mann sums up so many of today's ghastly opportunist politicians, devoid of policy or values who inhabit both parties. Still, you'd have to be mad to turn down 300 quid a day for doing sod all but turn up for a nice lunch in the lovely House of Lord's (subsidized) restaurant.
