Wyot I love George Elliot's novels. However, if I am watching what I think is a drama and people start suddenly singing or - worse - dancing while singing, I have either walked into the wrong venue or am being blackmailed. The idea of a Silas Marner musical sounds painful to me; but then all musicals do, so it has been a waste of time anyone reading this post...
JK2006 Turning Silas Marner into a musical - fabulous - in Coventry - terrific - this is the kind of imagination with which we Brits rule the world. I just hope it's as good as it is a clever idea.
