Marcus Agreed. He was a fine man and great editor who knew the Daily Mirror readership and what they wanted from the paper.

It fell into the hands of his arch rival Mr Montgomery and has been in miserable decline ever since.
JK2006 One of the few columnists prepared to defy the paper policy and support me in his Sunday Mirror column.
