JK2006 The baby starlings (I didn't know what they were until I put a photo up on here) used to line up on my bare arm (T shirt) - ten of them. Front one hopped onto my palm, took a crumb, flew off. They all moved down a space. When they got too big (this year) they sat on the back of the bench and moved forwards. I loved the feel of their little claws on my skin (close contact with other living things was banned in 2020).
JK2006 So went to the park to feed the birds. Where I spent most of First Lockdown (Spring 2020) and fell in love with baby starlings. None of those there today and the swans were quite aggressive; some standing on my feet pecking my clothes unless I gave them bread before the geese or pigeons! Once again tempted to slap them except, again, I felt Smacking the Queen's Swan might be a crime (and certainly a euphemism).
