I have never been a fan of any Bond film. Just no substance in them, not that I can identify with anyway. Doubtlessly I am in the minority.
The Cat
I still prefer the beginning of Man With The Golden Gun. Not as much action, but for some reason it's stayed in my memory throughout the years.
In The Know
The Bond films are trying to get "serious" again after becoming parodies of themselves (mainly Roger Moore era).
Uberman
Always liked the Spy Who Loved Me myself. Decent action sequence but skiing off the cliff to escape the chase and opening up a Union Jack parachute always seemed to add a touch of class. Not sure the same would work now though.
JK2006
Surely (just watching it) The World Is Not Enough?
Pity about the theme song.
Get back to hits for the next theme, Barbara... you'd be surprised how much a smash theme helps a movie twenty years down the line.
