JK2006 Perhaps the best film made of a Dickens novel. The opening scenes involving Magwitch the convict is possibly the greatest ever film scene; perfect in every way. Just watched it (for the 20th time). I'd forgotten how brilliant the death scene of Miss Havisham was. David Lean. What a movie maker.
