Anthony Actually, JK, you haven't really said what you would do if you owned a newspaper, only what you wouldn't do.

I reckon you'd be a roaring success, but what ideas would you have to turn around your ailing new acquisition?
Solihull Exile Sensationalism sells...and of course people don't like to apologise when they're proved wrong.
Mart Good point Chrissy.

The problem is, "The Daily Truth", as it were could end up being a very slim volume some days.
How would one dig for a story on a low news day, working on a deadline?
Using that theory, is probably another reason the press got into such a state.
i.e;
Editor; "It`s 4 pm, invent something quick, 400 words now!".
chrissy Problem is Jonathan you'd hit people with the TRUTH! I'm not sure people like the TRUTH. A diet of lies would make the TRUTH mostly unpalatable. Perhaps it would take several years of people slowly being weaned from fantasy onto a staple diet of reality.

Or perhaps my faith in human nature needs some restoration work..
JK2006 The answer is actually very simple.
See Attitudes & Opinions for what I'd do if I owned a newspaper.
