Wyot Yes but why can't the media - or public, generally - review these developments in a coherent and joined up way?

How can politicians be allowed to concoct such fantasies as £350 million for the NHS a week if we stop co-operating with our neighbours in Europe and commit economic self-harm - and not ask why the NI hike is needed for the NHS?

The media & public seem to me complicit in this post truth fantastical new world we live in. The dots never get joined; the lights never go on. We dwell in gloomy non-refective silos, where intelligence can't be heard.

Can a Brexiteer help clear my confusion? Why does NI have to go up to pay for the NHS, when we are now receiving an extra £350 million a week since Brexit to spend on the NHS?

Your NI will go towards more private planes, booze in the mini bar at No. 10 and No. 11. Then any change will probably be used on more tacky decor and a private duck pond.

I think you are right, and the NHS wastes far too much much money on overpriced rubbish and frills.

Middle managers for starters.

Only a small proportion of NHS costs are funded by NICs.

Well maybe.

However, The Government is planning to spend all the planned 12 billion from the NI increase on the NHS.
