complicated.. I always thought "conversion therapy" was a way for closeted preachers to meet young men. 
smoking of course..costs a fortune in health costs.

I am not so sure how artificial gender behaviour expectations are. Study after study shows babies/toddlers follow an inherent gender bias in colour and toy preferences - all other factors removed. I have witnessed this in my own family.
I have no issue with someone identifying as female when they are biologically male. I would go as far as I could in making them as comfortable as possible living this life. It is the decent thing to do. But not at thec expense of the emisseratiom of the majority; because this is a shitty thing to do.
I think the trouble is at the moment is that the extreme (and so loudest in media coverage) of the trans lobby wishes society to bend to their expectations, and to hell with the harm this does to others.
Thus we have female athletes swimming against 6 foot muscular males; their sport and passion ruined. What about the rights of biological women?
It's like the far left have fucked themselves. They can't be pro women or they be classed as transphobic by the trans. If they are are pro trans then women and I mean biological women are pushed to the side.
If put on a white jacket and wear a stethoscope around my neck does that me a doctor?
If I had wild fuzzy hair, a tatty suit, gay and huge a repertoire of jokes does it mean I can be Frankie Howerd ?
If I appear in drag for a Rocky Horror show. Does it mean I would be a full pledged transsexual alien for 2 hours or just some one who lost a bet ?
