JK2006 Sadly disappointing. The story has been jazzed up including a stupid romance and it takes so long (1 hour 20 mins) to cut to the chase, then dismissed in a few minutes. Some great actors and actresses all badly misused. In my memory the 1950's original was far, far better (and shorter).
JK2006 I shall be seeing this over Easter - for anyone who didn't see the original (The Man Who Never Was) with the brilliant, under rated Clifton Webb - do get it - I'm sure the fabulous Amazon has it available for rent.
JK2006 Looking forward to this but The Man Who Never Was is one of my all-time favourite films so I'm a bit nervous. The plot - a real story - is SO fabulous I think it will carry it.
