Oh they are way ahead BB - that's one reason why it's so good. The old video for Waterloo brings the house down. Every song - every moment - is different. And the sound is absolutely incredible - combining pre recorded and live playing works fantastically. This is the future and anyone interested in entertainment and not just in personal tastes needs to see it for that reason.

Sounds like the music biz is further more on life support.

A lot of Abba songs annoy me like a ticking clock, but I would go for curiosity.

I know how you feel Honey. I dreaded karaoke nights in my pub but loved the revenue.

Hearing middle aged women singing Dancing Queen, Mamma Mia, Winner Takes It All or Ring Ring. Was torture, not forgetting the juke box which again had ABBA.

Then my mum and sisters played ABBA a lot; and 2 of my sister's still do.

Gggrrrrr.

1980 was a terrible year also hearing
Super Trouper on a fucking loop.

I agree these sort of shows will be part of the future of entertainment but the speed that this type of technology is developing there will be many improvements over the coming years

BB I think this sort of show will become even better. Currently they require the subjects to be digitally mapped and to create the movement etc. themselves. As technology improves I’m sure old video will be able to be used along with Artificial Intelligence software to reproduce new “live” imaging.

In medium term I only see the mega superstars getting the treatment and predict a Freddy Mercury fronted Queen concert will be next. As a quasi-live experience the audience participation and involvement is important. Anyone who has been to see the best tribute bands will know how much people are prepared to believe in what they are witnessing on the stage.
