Wyot To be fair to Police Honey they ultimately did not believe her and also pushed to have her prosecuted. They are beholden to investigate any serious allegation like this.

Re JK's point yes the sentencing contrast is very troubling; can't think why there is such a difference unless sentencers can take into account how much Police time and public money has been wasted?

Most of these cases seem to be from women who are not the full shilling and disadvantaged.

Of course, they are probably more likely to invent stories for compo than others, but it does make you wonder if the police are even more inclined to believe those who are ordinary and nice?
