As I suggested several weeks ago - as the Tories dump Boris it becomes clear Brexit is a disaster with hundreds dying from heat stroke in traffic jams trying to reach the Continent, the NHS collapses through lack of EU nurses and Doctors and the Tory leadership becomes a snake versus a moron.
So Boris has quiet talks with Ed Davey. "Look, if you accept me as LibDem leader I shall call a General Election and when we win you'll be Deputy PM, we'll rejoin the Single Market (solving the Irish problem), simplify entry and exit border problems, stop sending immigrants to Rwanda and I'll get away with doing a U Turn by saying, as Leader of the Lib Dems, I must obey member instructions from the party as Prime Minister. We shall call a General Election on September 1st, before the Tories have chosen their leader. The Lib Dems will win in a landslide." |
