JK2006 As regulars will know, each year I try to read all 6 shortlisted finalists (it keeps me up with modern literature).
Some years I don't quite manage all 6 (Hilary Mantel tends to write long novels and each of her years I only managed to read her entries - twice winners, luckily). And if I'm not enjoying any much I give up after 100 pages.
Reading each over a few days gets me through most, though.
Anyway here we go (I try to buy through independent shops).
