But really..... How can some unofficial book be believed?
I can't see how ANYONE who does not spend months/years with the royals can somehow write a book with so much scandal had they not witnessed it first hand.
Or are these leaked bombshells coming from cooks and butler's etc??
In the case of Tom Bower's "revenge" all statements are properly on the record and in most cases witnessed by more than one person. He is a lawyer, knows what he is doing, never been sued, and would be a total fool to ruin his reputation and scupper his sources by telling lies.
He is not a fool.
Sometimes the authors are allowed to shadow their subjects for months, as with Lady Colin Campbell, Tom Bradbury, and Angela Levin (who I cant bear)
I know less about "Courtiers" but Valentine Low has based it on the official complaints of bullying which remain sealed for now, and although he exposes the Sussexes as entitled and vindictive, he also heavily criticises the way the palace handled the problem, so I don't think it is as one sided as people are expecting. |
