well I don't have a car, so my listening when out and about (on trains, busses, trams) is done on my iPhone with earpopds
I listen to my favourite pop and sometimes other genres..
80's British pop... loads by writers/rpoducers Stock Aitken Waterman
70's general pop and pop/rock including writers/producers Chinn and Chapman and well as others
60's Bubblegum especially by writers/producers Jerry Kasenetz and Jeffry Katz
early 70's British Bubblegum and Pop by songwriters &/or producers including Cook/Greenaway, Tony Macaulay, Geoff Stephens, Gerry Shury, Phil Swern, Ron Roker, John Carter/Shakespear, Barry Mason, Les Reed, Mitch Murray, Mike Leander, John Macleod, JK of course,
Lot's of today's pop, and pop/dance coming out today but usually with a retro 80's feel..
I was always intrigued by the songwriters behind the songs..
My head is still probably stuck in the70's and 80's when it comes to my favourite styles of music..
An absolute gem written by Tony Macaulay and Geoff Stephens. It still gets airplay on US radio stations.
