JK2006 I'm really enjoying this series; impressed that Palin - older than me - can still climb huge towers (I couldn't). Always amused that Palin, like Portillo and Reeve, owes a lot to me and Entertainment USA. But also I really like the Arabs - their culture, their people, their history. My connection with it is mainly North Africa but the middle east intrigues me too. My Moroccan and Tunisian friends are more gentle and less harsh than Iraquis but the fact is - they have been civilised for far longer than us, Europeans and Americans. One day, if I get time, I might write a book about my thoughts regarding the Arabs.
