Will Hodgkinson had his delayed book launch - I get a chapter in his excellent analysis of 1970s music and society. At the Temple of Music and Arts - TAM - in the Elephant and Castle - somewhere I'd never been before except on my way out of the UK, driving to the tunnel. A fascinating complex of restaurants and venues. Terrific to see so many old friends, from Mike Batt to Mike Mansfield (who I employed to make one of the very first "videos" after I noticed that every time I performed on Top of the Pops sales for that hit dropped). Dana Gillespie performed (I hadn't seen her since 1965). The book is very good. Worth buying.
I found the launch rather disturbing as so many faces were familiar though I could not remember them - I had obviously bumped into them 50 years ago but these days we all look so different.
