JK2006 If Jeremy is clever he'll win over the market by clever but not obvious media friendly back stepping and then will manoeuvre the party to dump Liz and crown him (without stupid members voting). He'll then build the economy so in 12 months people are starting to feel better. A perfect time to call a General Election.

Let's give that a go I say GM! I am happy to put myself forward to assist the project....

Simples. Most Tory members are very elderly right-wing people and surprise surprise would not vote for Sunak because of his ethnicity. This is even the opinion of a former conservative mp. The fate of the nation was in the hands of 50,000 blue rinsers, many of whom are still members because they don't have the energy to leave.

Yes Little England racism: Brexit & Truss rather than Sunak (I have no doubt if he was white he would be PM). Doesn't reflect the majority of the country. But it is destroying us currently.

I think we may be seeing the end days of te Conservative Party as we know it.

Imagine being a Tory MP right now. The parliamentary party didn't (pre referendum) want Brexit and it didn't want Truss. The party is being "run" by aged Tories in the shires. There is a total mismatch.

How can it last in its present form?

Yes agreed on Truss. It is very nearly beyond satire at the moment.

I feel a bit sorry for her. She's clearly out of her depth. Sir Malcolm Rifkind was interviewed yesterday and said that her answers in the press conference had been robotic. One has to wonder why so many Tories wanted her as PM rather than Rishi Sunak.

Another globalist who is friendly with the WEF. 😒

Even Kier Starmer, is in the same club.
