JK2006 Interesting BBC 1 Series on these criminals who claim fortunes from making false claims. One crooked woman claimed £10,000 for being knocked down in a chip shop plus £5000 Legal costs. Easily proved fake by the insurance company concerned - being prosecuted and soon to reside in Her Majesty's Estate. But how about the ENABLERS who encourage these crooks? Ghost Brokers - another exploding industry. Again - a third of the cases end up in prison sentences when the fraud is exposed. But, again, the GHOST BROKERS escape scot free. This HAS to be stopped. Police are well aware of this explosion of fraud and - even worse - of Perjury, making False Statements and Attempting to Pervert (Carl Beech currently serving 18 years).

But I repeat - it's not the liars we should be jailing (often genuinely trying to back up a friend or relative and believing the lies as, indeed, often the liars do too - usually encouraged by media; look at the Savile case). It's the ENABLERS.

Be they Bent Cops, Corrupt Lawyers, Ghost Brokers or whatever. Often the "experts" assisting (a "medical expert" signed off on the Chip Shop lies).

I really pity those who slip into the hands of Ambulance Chasers. But we need to bring down the enablers (often those chasing the ambulances).
